Dott. Carmine Albini

The Pennisola blu teacher

Dear Parents,

My name is Carmine Albini and I am an Italian teacher, musician, and researcher. My studies and work stem from the intersection of art, education, and emotional experience, with a particular focus on children's emotional and relational development.

I am currently pursuing a PhD in Germanoslavistics at Charles University (Karlova) in Prague and Sapienza University of Rome, a field that allows me to explore the relationship between language, culture, and identity formation. Previously, I studied Literature at the University of Naples Federico II and Italian Studies at the Universities of Udine and Trieste, developing a solid humanistic and pedagogical background.

Alongside my academic career, I am a professional pianist, with degrees in piano, composition, and ensemble music. For many years, I taught music therapy and piano to children, experiencing daily the value of music as a tool for emotional expression, emotional regulation, and personal growth. My experience has taught me that artistic language is often the first channel through which children can communicate what they cannot yet express with words.

I have also worked in diverse and intercultural educational contexts, leading after-school activities for middle and high school children, particularly in humanities and linguistics, and teaching Italian as a second language to foreign children. These experiences have reinforced in me the belief that every child learns at their own pace, with their own unique learning styles and sensibilities, and that the educator's role is to guide, not force.

In my work with young children, I integrate educational, artistic, and relational skills, placing great emphasis on emotional well-being, building self-esteem, and developing creativity as a safe space for self-exploration and the world.

At the "Piccole Pesti" preschool, I lead the "La Penisola Blu" art therapy workshop, which takes place every Tuesday afternoon in Italian. The workshop is designed as a safe and welcoming place where children can express themselves freely through color, sound, movement, and symbolic play, fostering emotional communication, concentration, and connection with others. I deeply believe that art, when approached with sensitivity and thoughtfulness, becomes a valuable tool for supporting children in their growth, helping them understand themselves, feel seen and welcomed, and develop a peaceful relationship with their emotions. I am always available for dialogue and discussion with families, in the belief that education is a shared journey.

Armeen Mansoor

CAMBRIDGE ENGLISH TEACHER

Dear Parents,

Hello! My name is Armeen, and I’m thrilled to introduce myself as one of the new after-school English teachers at Piccole Pesti. I’m 21 years old and currently a medical student from Pakistan, but I’ve lived in Dubai my whole life. I graduated from Dubai British School and have been enjoying the beautiful city of Prague for the past two years.

With 4 years of experience tutoring English to children of different ages, I believe in making every lesson a fun and interactive adventure! My aim is to create a classroom where your children are excited to learn and feel comfortable to express themselves.

In my free time, I love exploring new places, meeting new people, and discovering different cultures. I am beyond excited to start this new chapter at Piccole Pesti and can’t wait to meet all the wonderful students and parents. Together, we’re going to have a fantastic time learning and growing!

Looking forward to a joyful and enriching school year with all of you!

Warm wishes,

Armeen
